GLAMZ English Angoras - Sales Policy
Below you will find the Sales Policy for GLAMZ English Angoras. Please be aware that we reserve the right to refuse to sell a rabbit to any person, at any time, for any reason.
We rarely sell to pet homes, as our rabbits are purposefully bred to be tremendous wool production animals for show and fiber. Most pet homes are ill-equipped to manage and care for the amount of coat our rabbits produce and it can mean a short, painful, miserable life if one of our rabbits ends up in the wrong home situation.
That being said, we welcome inquiries from experienced angora pet owners, other breeders, other exhibitors, or fiber homes.

Right of Refusal |
We reserve the right to refuse the sale of a rabbit to any person, at any time, for any reason, up to the moment the rabbit leaves our care. This includes the time period after a deposit is paid, and up to the point that the rabbit leaves our premises. If we choose to terminate a transaction, all deposits and funds proffered by the Purchaser to the Breeder, up to that point, will be refunded. No travel expenses, or other expenses not proffered directly to the Breeder, will be refunded, no exceptions.
|
Deposits & Payment |
To place any rabbit on hold, a non-refundable deposit in the amount of 50% of the total sale price is required. Deposits may be paid through check, paypal, money order or cash. A deposit will not be considered complete until the funds are cleared. Rabbits that are being held by a deposit will be kept up to ten (10) days after they are ready to leave once a deposit has been made, unless other arangements have been agreed upon. After ten days, if the rabbit has not been claimed, it will be placed back up for sale and all deposits will be forfeited by the Purchaser.
All transactions at pick-up are in CASH ONLY. If a deposit has not been made, 100% of the sales price must be paid in cash upon pick-up. If a deposit has been made, the remaining 50% of the balance must be paid in cash upon pick-up. |
Shipping & Transporters |
We DO NOT and will not ship rabbits, sight-unseen, to Purchasers under any circumstances.
Purchasers may meet us at either our Northern Virginia or Northeastern Ohio locations, or purchasers may meet us at any dog or rabbit show that we are attending (e-mail or call for our show schedules), or purchasers may arrange their own transport for the rabbit. Our dog and rabbit show schedules tend to cover the entire Mid-Atlantic region, up into lower New England and sometimes much further North, South or West. If we are driving to any of those locations, we are happy to transport the rabbit along with us for pickup for a small fee. We will allow Purchasers to use a transporter or agent of their choosing, however, all arrangements must be made by the Purchaser and the rabbit must be paid for, in full, before it is picked up by the transporter. Once the rabbit leaves our hands, our liability ceases and liability falls upon the Purchaser for any loss, damage, death, sickness or injury which occurs to the rabbit from that point forward. We will not drive more than 15 miles/15 minutes to meet a transporter unless we are compensated for our time and gas ahead of time ($0.50/mile roundtrip). |
Guarantees
|
If any misrepresentation of a rabbit was made at the time of purchase (incorrect gender, undiscovered genetic DQ, etc) a refund of the purchase price will be made upon return of the rabbit to the Breeders in the same condition in which it was sold. If available, a replacement animal will be provided upon return of the rabbit, but if a replacement is made, no refund of the purchase price, or any portion thereof, will be made. Minor mistakes in the identification of the color of the rabbit (i.e.: similar colors like a blue tort sold as a lilac tort, etc) will not be refunded or replaced unless the color is a disqualification on the show table and the animal was sold as show quality.
We do not offer any guarantee once a rabbit has left our premises of the health or longevity of the rabbit. While our animals are healthy before they leave, purchaser understands and agrees that rabbits are delicate animals and their health status can change for the worse without warning. We are not responsible for any health issues, illnesses, injuries, death, etc. once Purchaser or their transporter/agent has taken possession of the rabbit. No refunds or partial payments will be given in the event of a loss, injury or illness once the animal leaves our possession. We do not make any guarantees about the rabbit's wool production, reproductive capacity or propensity to win on the show table. There are too many variables that go into breeding, wool production and showing that are beyond our control to offer such a guarantee. We will do our best to evaluate our rabbits before they are placed and all rabbits will be sold with full disclosure of all pertinent traits. |
Returns & Right of First Refusal |
Any rabbit which was bred by GLAMZ English Angoras may be returned at any time, for any reason, for the entire life of the animal. No payment of any portion of the original purchase price will be made for such a return.
If at any time the purchaser decides to resell a rabbit from GLAMZ English Angoras, we MUST be contacted first and offered the option to take a rabbit from our breeding back for no more than 75% of the initial purchase price (to account for loss of value due to age, change in showability from shearing, etc) . |
GLAMZ Rabbity Prefix |
The GLAMZ rabbitry prefix ("GLAMZ") must remain in front of the rabbit's name, on all pedigrees, ARBA registration, other documentation, etc, without change, alteration or omission, for the life of the animal.
